Ian was the best part of my stay, he really made my time at the Hotel Opera enjoyable. I was very dissapointed with the origional 5th floor roo, . walk from 4th, and the shower so small my son did not fit in it, barely myself. The next day Ian was on the desk and moved me and the room was acceptable for sure. After the reservation starts you can not cancell, they said it was policy, so indeed check room before you start you stay. Location can not be beat for sure, very safe and visable. Busy enough that you feel very safe walking everywhere even lat at night. Breakfast was available on main floor for resonable cost. Saw the 3 beds and looked fine, and small single rooms when required.
was not large but certainly elevator fit 2 large bags and 2 people. Inviting reception area and plenty of services near-by for everything. Short cab from train station, and helpfull front desk for cab and shuttle services, and perfect English, no issues with communication.
I liked that it was walking distance to lots of shops and cafes.
The pictures online were a little deceiving, the room/building was older than I thought it looked (if you want modern this hotel is not it). Also we had trouble checking out as we had arlready paid in the first building but then stayed in the one around the corner...
The hotel was well kept and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was pleasantly decorated and clean. The hotel is centrally located close to the Opera and Metro. The evenings were quiet and it was nice to keep the window open at night.
very comfortable rooms and clean ones. Excellent location.
we hade room for 3 persons, but originally should be for 2, it's too small.
We find this hotel is extremely accessible on foot from all major attractions in the city. It is also really close to the bus connecting to CDG airport
We would have liked a social / bar area to relax in at night 11pm for approx an hour with tea/coffee or alcohol
Only the location. It is located relatively close to Opera metro station.
Too tiny, very noisy and expensive room! Moreover, the photos do not fully represent reality.
We only had 3 nights in Paris and wanted to see as much as we can. Location was excellent! It is very close to the Opera and OpenTours bus office. We walked everywhere with kids (7 and 11 years old who are good walkers) and grandma - Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Luxenburg gardens... Lots of restaurants to choose from just around the corner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had 2 adjacent rooms with a door between which was great!
Rooms appeared bigger on the website, but in fact we're quite compact, so it was a challenge to fit in with all suitcases and kids. We had to work from hotel and free Wifipass connection was too slow. We even payed for a faster option, but that was not fast enough.
Good location and facilities. Nice staff.
The isolation is not good. I could hear the shower of the other room. The bathroom facilities were not perfectly working.
It could be nice but there was a big problem, they're repairing something, the walls, the doors in the next room so it was noisy.
As I've said, the hotel personnel was nice but I don't like the noise. I woke up very early (on the saturday morning) because it. They are working in the next room, drilling, doing something with the forge hammer and so on. besides the workers were talking loudly. So I had to go out very early in the morning. It was unpleasant.
The staff are good, and the location of the hotel is excellent
The space of the room and bathroom is v small.and the WiFi speed was not good
The location is fantastic, a few minutes walk to the Louvre, less than 10 to the Roissybus, close to the Metro. Nice modern fixtures and fittings in the shower. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfy beds. No noise.
The shower had scum on it - that needed to be cleaned. And there were hairs stuck on the tiles of the bathroom wall beside the hairdryer.
Great location for the price.
Bathroom stairs in single very narrow.
Only the staff
What you see in the photos looks great but it doesn t look nothing like it ! Everything was so tiny, very, very old...it was like staying in a tiny box ! If this is a 3 stars ( I wouldn't even call it an Hotel) then IBIS is a 5 stars. Hope in future we have better luck...IT WAS REALY A SHOCK
The comfortable beds
The fact that we had to go up two flights of stairs to get to our room and this was not advertised on Booked.net and were not informed before we arrived. The advert on Booked.net said that the hotel is serviced with a lift but the lift does not go to all the floors. The wifi was terrible all the time.
Absolutely, it's terrible. Never to recommned in my life!!! It needs to be removed from on-line list.
